Do you really want a balanced lifestyle as an entrepreneur?

OK this is something that I’ve definitely had wrong most of my journey as an entrepreneur.

I used to think I wanted a balanced lifestyle but actually what I’ve come to realise is that what I actually want is an unbalanced life!

I’m here for the freedom to make memories and to do the things I love OUTSIDE of work. The thing is, so do my clients!

This week I’ve started a new weekly time map. Something I’ve been using for years as an entrepreneur, however this time it’s different.

My previous time map meant adding in ‘gold time’ (a.k.a free time to do fun things for me outside of work). It was actually quite hard to fit this in around work and client delivery AND to be present with my kids!

But my new time map is made up of mainly ‘gold time’ with 20 hours per week of client delivery, content creation and working both IN and ON my business. THIS is the unbalanced lifestyle that I’ve REALLY been working towards!

Without this time map, and as a multi passionate entrepreneur, it’s SO easy to just do that next thing on the to do list or just step away from your boundaries for that one client or to take on that extra project because it’s too good to say no to.

I used to work 12-15 hours per day but it was never full attention hours. I’d work 9 hours whilst also juggling being in mum mode (and anyone that knows what it’s like to be a mum to pre-schoolers AND run a business will know this is a full time job in itself!). I’d then work at least 3 hours every night when the kids were in bed (by which point I was drained!) Sometimes I’d work until 3am meaning I’d actually worked nearly 17 hours in one single day – but not having my full attention on work or the kids.

It was exhausting!

This was when I realised things had to change.

I worked on my vision. I KNEW I wanted more. I wanted to be known in my industry and I wanted to see the rewards of having a successful business!

I worked on the foundations of discovering who I was and who I needed to be in order to seriously level up and get those results!

THEN and only then did I look at my brand visuals to bring everything together.

This is the thing with creating a premium personal brand and charging high ticket for your offers.

It’s about branding you from the inside out. Not the outside with the visuals but lacking that inner impact, strategy and offer suite to set yourself apart from everyone else.

This transition allowed me to completely shift my business and skyrocket myself to becoming a multi award winning leader in my field.
